Sea Fishing Trips by Boat

Another good catch on a Sea Fishing Trip aboard Grey Viking out of Brighton Marina

As a destination Brighton Marina has it all to offer with good fishing all year round, free parking and a well stocked tackle shop next to the boat. If you are staying over there is plenty of entertainment within the Marina itself and the city centre is nearby with lots of places to stay to suit all budgets.

Deep Sea Wreck Fishing

Deep Sea Wreck Fishing

Our trips fishing on the deep sea wrecks are the first choice of many anglers and we run them throughout the year. Brighton is well established as one of the premier wrecking venues in the UK, with over 200 wrecks in the English Channel off the Sussex coast alone! Early in the year we fish for Pollack and January through to April is the best time to target the bigger specimens. Bass and Cod fishing starts in the spring and continues into winter. We fish for these species drifting with lures and from mid summer we also fish at anchor for the bigger Cod, Ling, Conger Eel and  specimen Black Sea Bream. Come and enjoy a day fishing with one of Brighton’s top wrecking Skippers aboard Grey Viking II.

Ground and Reef Fishing

Reef and Ground Fishing

Our reef and ground fishing trips are a more relaxing alternative to wrecking because we are generally fishing closer inshore in shallower water. From the spring until late autumn we mainly fish for Plaice, Dabs, Smoothhounds and Bass. April to June is the peak of the Black Bream fishing season on the famous Kingsmere Rocks to the west of Brighton and Mackerel are plentiful from April until October. Winter is an exciting time when the Cod move inshore and from October until February the bigger fish to over 30lbs are caught within a few miles of the Marina!
