Catch Report 15th May 2010

Wreck Fishing Trip

15th May 2010-150510-003I wasn’t out today on this fishing trip but I can tell you that once again the fishing was tough.  Having a crew of total novices to wreck fishing onboard didn’t make it any easier but some nice fish were caught today with this 14lb Pollack being the best catch of the day.

The crew managed to almost fill the large icebox and left having really enjoyed the day.

Evening Trip

Tonight’s evening trip was a stag do who wanted to get out for a couple of hours fishing before heading off to the pub.  They arrived recovering from last nights partying feeling ok after soaking up all the drinking with a Burger King meal. 15th May 2010-150510-005

With a few beers and in good spirits we left the marina and headed out for a couple of hours Mackerel fishing.  There were plenty of cheers and laughter as we headed out but the boat was soon to become quite a bit quieter.

With the meals eaten earlier coming back as ground bait the sounder was alive with fish.  If only the guys weren’t spewing over the side and holding on for dear life then they might have caught a lot more fish.   They did between them manage to catch enough for breakfast, but seeing as they were almost all turning a nice shade of green we agreed to their request for an early return back to port.

15th May 2010-150510-008Better out than in!!!!

Once back on dry land and the colour returning they bagged up the fish and headed off for a night on the town.

Have a great night boys.  Cheers!
