Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the answers to the questions most frequently asked about our sea fishing trips on Grey Viking out of Brighton Marina:

What does it cost to book the whole boat for fishing?
Please see our sea fishing prices page for costs and maximum number of persons.
I'm just one person or haven't got enough people to book the whole boat?
No problem! Book one of our “Individual Days” which we run on a regular basis. Please see our sea fishing prices page for costs.
What dates are available?
To see when the whole boat is available for a group booking or when spaces are available on “Individuals Days” please look at our availability calendar which is updated daily. Our calendar also shows what we are planning to fish for on the date in question, subject to weather and fishing conditions on the day. This might change at the skippers discretion.
How do I book or can I make a booking please?
If you’ve found the date you want on our availability calendar and want to go ahead please pay your deposit and your booking will be confirmed by email.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Bookings are strictly on a first come first served basis. If you see a date on our availability calendar and want to book it you should do it now, even if the date is weeks or months ahead. This avoids the disappointment of somebody else booking it first.
Can I book multiple dates against one deposit?
No problem! Pay one deposit and let us know the dates you want. Then pay for the trip on the day leaving your original deposit intact for the next one.
Where is the boat located, what time do we need to be there and what do we need to bring?
We provide answers to all these questions on our booking information page.
I am/we are complete beginners?
No problem! If your are new to boat fishing or fishing in general we will provide free tuition and advice on the day. All trips are suitable for beginners.
Do I need to have my own fishing rod and tackle?
Not at all! Simply turn up on the day and hire ours for a modest charge if you need to.
Do your prices include rods and bait?
No they do not. If you haven’t got your own equipment you can hire ours. You will also need bait or lures which you can buy from the tackle shop in the marina. They open at 7.30am, giving you time to get your bait before we depart. We will let you know exactly what you need to get.
The date we require is fully booked on your calendar, is there anything you can do for us?
If you are a group looking to book the whole boat we can probably offer you an afternoon trip departing at 4.00pm for one to four hours.
Are there any age limits?
There is a minimum age of 14 for full day 8 hour trips and a minimum age of 7 for half day 4 hour trips.
