Light Tackle – Wrecking for Pollack – April 2013
When we go wreck fishing for Pollack they are great fun to catch on ultra light tackle, this is how it’s done!
Pollack Fishing – February 2013
Another typical early season Pollack fishing trip, featuring some more amazing underwater video footage of fish coming to the net:
Pollack Fishing – January 2013
The best time for the bigger Pollack is generally early season from January through until April. This video documents a typical early season deep sea wreck fishing trip on the Pollack and is the first time we’ve used a GoPro camera to capture underwater footage of fish coming to the net. You’ll be amazed at the crystal clear water which is typical mid channel, often 25 miles or more offshore:
Red Letter Day – Wrecking for Cod
Every once in a while you hit upon a big haul of fish and sometimes you happen to have a video camera with you at the same time. This video captures a very memorable day’s Cod fishing in January 2011 when we landed around three quarters of a tonne of very big Cod in just a few hours of frantic fishing. Truly a Red Letter Day!
Conger Fishing – 90lb Conger Eel
Some lads came down from Whitby to experience deep sea fishing for Conger on our wrecks in the English Channel back in September 2010. We had a great haul of Cod and Congers topped by this amazing capture of a 90lb Conger Eel which remains the Grey Viking boat record to this day. In the name of conservation we return all Congers to preserve the stocks on our wrecks.
